Dear participants of the Cartagena Event 11.-14.02.2021 update 2021-02-11 17:48

Unfortunately it was not possible to use the track today. Furthermore, the track was not approved.

Even though we were promised several times, the permit did not arrive.

We decided to do the following:

From tomorrow February 12th, 2021 we will be offering the Circuito Andalucia race track as a replacement. We then booked Almeria from Saturday up to and including February 18th, 2021.

The Circuito Andalucia paddock is open on February 12th, 2021 from 10 a.m., the track from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. in two groups. 12.00 p.m. Group A / B, 12.30 p.m. Group C / D ... ..

You can still stay in the Cartagena paddock. We still hope that the approval will come tomorrow morning that we can drive in Cartagena at least on the weekend of February 13/14, 2021.

If the approval does not come by Friday 1 p.m., we will clear the Cartagena paddock and drive to Almeria.

Participants do not have to tell us how they decide. A team from Bike Promotion is on site at both race tracks.

Many greetings

Your Team Bike Promotion

Confirmation Cartagena/Valencia

Dear participants,

CARTAGENA 11-14 Feb 2021:

Yesterday we unfortunately learned at short notice from Cartagena circuit that the track has been closed by the authorities. After lots of phone calls we were reassured that this is only a formality concerning permissions from the local authority and that our event could almost certainly go ahead. It was agreed that we would be updated on the status of our event yesterday, but that didn´t happen and as of today, we have still not received an update from the circuit.

We are aware that many participants are already on their way to Spain, or are already in Spain, so we have checked the availability for all of the other nearby circuits at short notice. Sports facilities in the Communidad Valencia and in the Communidad Castilla-La Mancha are currently closed until 15 Feb and events are only possible in the Andalucia region – and Jerez, Guadix, and Almeria circuits are already in use by others – so the only option that is available is Andalucia Circuit, which we have now reserved as a back-up just in case Cartagena does not receive the necessary permissions from local authority.

So Cartagena is our first option and is our priority, but if the necessary permissions are not received by 12.00 this Wednesday 10 Feb we will switch this event to Andalucia Circuit.

We will give updates to all registered participants by e-mail via our booking system. Additionally, we will post updates via WhatsApp on the event hotline +4915112669111. You can also reach us by phone at +4915112669110 (Max-German/English), or at +4915112669111 (Thomas-German/English), or at +34619425282 (Juan Antonio/Palmi-Spanish/English).

If Cartagena is not possible, all bookings at the NH Hotel Cartagena will be transferred to the Hotel Parador, Mojacar – and all participants will receive new travel documents (please let us know who if you have not yet received any travel documents from us).

VALENCIA 16-18 Feb 2021:

Sports facilities in Comunidad Valencia are currently closed and are scheduled to reopen on 15 Feb.

If local restrictions are extended beyond 15 Feb, Valencia 16-18 Feb may not be possible, and in this case we have secured Almeria Circuit on the same days as a back-up/alternative.

At the moment it looks like Valencia will be possible, but only for only selected high-level riders. The circuit have not yet confirmed the exact details, but right now it looks like only riders with a 2021 national or international race licence, and/or previous national/international competition history, will be permitted to ride at Valencia.

When we have more information we will update everyone by email and, WhatsApp (see Cartagena section above for our contact details). We will also update everyone regarding Valencia while we are all together at the 11-14 Feb event – when we are there together, we will have more details and it will be easier to decide which circuit (Valencia or Almeria) will work best for each individual rider.

Kind regards
