Olaf Klanke is one of those bike promotion instructors coming from the road safety industry. In both cars and motorcycles, “the Walsrodaer” teaches a safe driving style and teaches how to drive safely and in advance on the road.
But Klanke can also pull the cable on the race track. Since 1990 he has been riding a motorbike, four years later he was riding on the track for the first time. "In 1995, I had my first accident - and the course on the country road," Klanke reveals. Since then, he had almost exclusively driven on the track with a motorbike.
In 2001, Klanke became a certified road safety trainer for motorbikes according to the guidelines of the DVR, the German Road Safety Council. Since 2004 he has been an instructor for various organizers and joined the team of Bike Promotion in 2007.
Occasionally, Klanke also races. "But from cowardice, I rarely do it," jokes the Lower Saxony. "I am the main driver for driving safety in the passenger car." There, he taught ecological driving, defensive driving and gave insights into the right risk management in road traffic.
