Dirk Ellinger

Dirk Ellinger belongs to the team of the basic instructors of Bike Promotion. “The Düsseldorfer” had his first contact with a racetrack in the year 2000. "At that time I visited the Yamaha Summer Festival in Oschersleben with my wife and my new R6," he reports today. This was the first contact with a race track for Ellinger and he was to attack the virus known to all of us.

"I got to know Jost Schaper from Yamaha Motor Deutschland, who took me on various racetracks and trainings in the coming years", Ellinger recalls. Eventually, the training would be more and the desire to participate in a racing series to germinate in him. In 2003, he entered the Yamaha Shell R6 Cup. "I was actually an absolute newbie," he laughs today. Ellinger finished the season as 31st out of 50 participants.
In the course of his participation in the R6 Cup, Ellinger also came to Bike Promotion through Schaper. "The guys were like me from the start," says Ellinger today. And it was not long before he became an instructor for the first time. "That became more and more every year."

In 2008, Ellinger also took part in the International Bike Promotion Championship (IBPM) race parallel to his role as an instructor. "I drove the R-Cup and the Supersport class, but the season should be finished for me after a shot in Most." At that time Ellinger was on the 6th overall rank of the Yamaha R-Cup.
